Shakvaro Sidekick

  Short version: Shakvaro Sidekick lets you save businesses you research on Maps into a personal notebook. The notebook stays on your device unless you choose to download it as CSV/XLSX or sync it to a Google Sheet you own. We do not sell personal information or use your saved data for advertising.

1. What the extension does

Shakvaro Sidekick is a Chrome extension that helps users save and organize businesses they personally research on Google Maps, and optionally sync the notebook to a Google Sheet they own.

2. Data the extension accesses

When you trigger a save on a Maps page, the extension reads the structured fields of the displayed business, which may include:

Business name, category, address, phone number, website, rating, review count, price level, hours, plus code, latitude/longitude, and Maps URL.
The Maps search query or place page URL associated with the saved row.
Extension settings such as default quality mode, throttle timing, side panel preference, and diagnostics opt-in choice.
Folders or session lists you create inside the extension.

3. Where your data is stored

Your saved rows, folders, settings, license status, quota information, and temporary selector-drift reports are stored locally in Chrome extension storage on your device.

If you download a CSV or XLSX file, the file is saved to the location you choose. If you sync to Google Sheets, selected rows are sent to the Google Sheet you choose using your own Google account authorization.

4. Google account and Google Sheets

Google Sheets sync is optional. If you use it, Chrome may ask you to authorize access through your Google account. The extension uses this authorization only to list spreadsheets you own, create a spreadsheet if you request one, and append the rows you choose to send.

Shakvaro Sidekick does not receive your Google password and does not use your Google data for advertising or profiling.

5. License validation

If you activate a paid license, the extension sends the license key, an extension install identifier, and the extension version to Shakvaro servers to validate the license. This is used only to confirm license status and enable paid features.

6. Optional diagnostics

Shakvaro Sidekick includes optional selector-drift diagnostics. If you enable diagnostics in Settings, the extension may send reports when expected Maps fields fail to parse. These reports include the missing field name, the related URL, the extension version, and an install identifier.

Diagnostics are disabled unless you opt in. Saved place rows are not sent as diagnostics.

7. Data the extension does not collect

Shakvaro Sidekick does not collect, sell, or share the following for advertising or tracking:

Passwords or authentication credentials.
Payment card numbers or financial account information.
Health information.
Personal communications.
Browsing history outside the Maps pages where the extension runs.
Saved business rows, except when you explicitly sync them to your own Google Sheet.

8. Third parties

The extension interacts with these services only for the described purposes:

Google Maps: the content script reads visible page content on Maps pages when you trigger a save.
Google Sheets / Google Drive APIs: optional sync to a spreadsheet you own.
Shakvaro license server: paid license validation.
Shakvaro diagnostics endpoint: optional selector-drift reports, only if you opt in.

9. Permissions

Shakvaro Sidekick requests only the Chrome permissions needed for its core functionality:

storage — save your notebook, folders, settings, license status, and diagnostics preference locally.
tabs — detect whether the active tab is a Maps page so the toolbar icon, right-click menu, and popup show the correct state for the current page.
identity — support optional Google Sheets sync through Chrome's OAuth flow.
alarms — periodically refresh license status and run the optional diagnostics upload.
sidePanel — show the extension UI in Chrome's side panel as an optional surface.
contextMenus — provide extension actions from Chrome's right-click menu on Maps pages.
Host permissions are limited to googleapis.com, sheets.googleapis.com (for Google Sheets sync), and shakvaro.cloud (for license and diagnostics). The Maps content script is scoped via the manifest only.

10. Your control

You can clear your notebook inside the extension. You can also remove all extension data by uninstalling Shakvaro Sidekick or clearing Chrome extension storage. You control whether to sync any data to a Google Sheet and whether to enable diagnostics.

11. Children's privacy

Shakvaro Sidekick is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. The extension does not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

If the extension's data handling changes, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
